Breakfast yesterday of overnight oats. Mundela Greek vanilla yoghurt, HL milk, chia seeds, black sesame seeds, dried nuts and fruits. I always like to eat the concoctions with crackers. This time round, instead of peanut butter spread, I had it with peanut butter granola biscuits. It’s heavenly. Getting more and more adventurous now with the accompaniments. The last one I had, I had it with dark chocolate chips!

Instead of overnight, I had it the “instant” way! Refreshingly cold lunch bowl yesterday of oats, Meiji mixed fruits yoghurt, HL milk, chia seeds, black sesame seeds and mixed dried fruits and nuts.

Breakfast now at 6-ish in the morning. Overnight oats with original Greek yoghurt, HL milk, dried fruits (apricot, raisins, cranberries), nuts, peanut butter (as I fear the bowl might taste awful), topped with cherry.

Need to start getting used to early day like this, especially so when I am starting work in 2 weeks’ time.

Now, breakfast is the only saviour of each passing day. Because there is coffee and food which I love. I just wish the moment freezes.

The real GREEK! So, I had oats with natural Greek yoghurt, HL milk, dried nuts and berries last Friday. It tastes a little weird/sour. Luckily I didn’t prepare the overnight oats like that the other day. I wonder if the brand of the yoghurt matters? Because Mundela’s one is fine.

Overnight oats done up with honey nut granola as I run out of oats with vanilla-flavored Greek yoghurt. Added organic apricots, nuts and varied dried berries to the bowl. Delicious breakfast few days ago, I had!

New cake shop on the block! It’s Chef Yamashita.

I went to Tanjong Pagar Plaza for facial last week. It gave me a chance to try out this new bakery. I bought 4 pieces of cake and 2 Financiers (a normal one and another baked with brown sugar).

Here are the 3 pieces of cake which I gobbled down on that day itself, though I already had lunch prior! I had their famour Blueberry Luna Wrap, Banana & Caramel Luna wrap and (I think) Mount Fuji (which is basically chestnut-filled cake).

I’m never a cream person. But I had no qualms having all the cream by myself that afternoon. It’s just so light and fluffy.

The Financiers and dark-cherry cake are also wholesome and delightful. I’d certainly go back for more!

Something about Japanese food, which is so addictive.

First time adding fruit to my overnight oats. Banana is a good option! Ingredients: Prune Nestle yoghurt, HL milk, dried mulberries and mixed nuts, oats. Lovely!

Going Greek!

Overnight oats in a jar calls for Greek yoghurt. But I don’t recall tasting one before. I read before that someone threw away the jar the next morning because the yoghurt tastes sourish. I don’t want to risk wasting my oats and thus, I bought the said yoghurt and tried on its own the other day. My yoghurt is flavoured and here is what I put together during my first trial (24 June) - Blueberry Greek yoghurt, HL milk, oats, dried mulberries and other mixed fruits/nuts, banana. It’s surprisingly flavourful! And now I know, Greek yoghurt is thicker than the normal yoghurt I have.

Having tried the Greek, I am now more ready to prepare my jar with Greek yoghurt. And I’ve added the special ingredient which is normally found in the recipe, Chia seeds!

Passionfruit Greek yoghurt, HL milk, oats, Chia seeds, peanut butter and banana! This is delicious and no, I didn’t puke.

Same usual ingredients except I used Honey Greek this time.

I have been seeing a lot of this glass jar photos lately. I decided to give it a try since I take oats occasionally. Fearing that the yoghurt-milk combination will be too dairy for my breakfast, I bought prune yoghurt instead of Greek. I use HL milk instead of other brands. I added Honey Nut granola, oats, both aforementioned dairy products into the jar last night. This morning, I added dried fruits (whole cranberries, raisins, blueberries) and nuts. The resultant bowl is surprisingly edible and nice. Probably because I brought out the mixture from the refrigerator earlier so that the mixture is not very cold. More trials to come……

Earlier this month, we attended a wedding lunch of a cousin at Forest restaurant located at Resorts World Sentosa. Food is fantastic and reasonably priced. It is like a degustation menu and thus, food portion is just nice. Had a lovely afternoon, for the tummy (^_^)
